Lake Taka is a seasonal lake located in the Tripoli Plateau in Arcadia, Greece, about 10 kilometers south of Tripoli and east of Tegea. Sitting at an elevation of 650 meters, it forms during the winter months when the southern part of the plateau floods due to heavy rainfall and poor drainage. This leads to the accumulation of fresh rainwater, creating a temporary lake. During the hot and dry summer, the lake usually dries up, leaving behind a dammed pond for irrigation purposes.
